week 7: #akidcalledmeelder

This past week was transfers and Sister Pa… got transferred so now Sister Po… lives with us!!! She's super awesome and fun, and has so many good ideas. And then someone confettied our house!! So on Tuesday we biked...in the rain..then Sister W got a flat tire so we walked...in the rain. But it was okay!!
We visited a sister who wants us to teach her two 13 year old daughters!!!!! Super excited!! She shared her story with us, and it's amazing how the gospel and the Atonement changes lives. She completely turned her life around so she is much happier and wants her kids to have that as well. Okay Thursday was fantastic! Like oh my goodness amazing!! So then we went to the church for lunch and then we went knocking on doors and we had like an hour before dinner so we finished a couple streets faster than we anticipated and then we weren't sure which street to go down. So Sister W was like "where do you want to go?" And I had a feeling we should go to El Capitain so we went there and we ran into a church who gave us the name of someone to visit, though unfortunately not in our ward boundaries - still super great!! Then we kept knocking and we came to this one house and Sister W asked if we could share a message about Jesus Christ and she said YES!!! Okay, so it seems no one ever says yes! So we were shocked and honestly didn't know what to say so we talked with her a bit about the restoration then gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to read and pray about it!! And she said she would!!! And we also gave her the Restoration pamphlet!! The Lord loves us and leads us to those who are prepared! We don't know what will come out of it, but she said yes so I'm looking forward to going back!! Ahhh such an Amazing day!
Can I just say I LOVE MY ZONE!! I just can't say it enough - I love em!! Idk what I'd do without our Elders. They do soooo much for us!!  I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON! There is so much power in that book. Make it a priority to read every day. I know that it is true. I know that as you read each day that prayers will be answered, days will be easier to manage, and you will better see the tender mercies of the Lord each day!
Every member a missionary!
Oh we are doing what we call "the missionary challenge" and we are inviting all the families we eat dinner with to prayerfully set a date to find someone to have the missionaries teach in their home! Some say a firm yes and some are a little more hesitant, but it's amazing to see their faith. I want to challenge you to do the same! The talk, "We Proclaim the Gospel" by M Russell Ballard from the October 1986
General Conference really helps!!
Love you!
We got our car on Friday sooo yayyyy!!!!!
Sister Gore🙌🏻
